The week leading up to DAD is always full of exciting and interesting events.
10.30am - 12.30pm Disability Confident Employer's Event
Walton Hall, Walton Gardens: An event aimed at local employers discussing matters relating to best practise in recruitment and retention of disabled staff. Including an overview and case studies of using Access To Work. Free Admission registration needed. Early bird bookings email John Balshaw
7.30pm - 11.30pm Comedy and Curry Night
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens - Line up of comedians, headline act TBC. Licenced bar, all money raised will go towards the 2022 Physical Disability Rugby League World Cup. Tickets £18.Contact us to book tickets Email Kate
10.30am – 3.30pm Ignite your Life!
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: Mental Health and wellbeing event. Come and join Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust to celebrate health and wellbeing with inclusive workshops and talks for all to join in. Find out about becoming a volunteer and there will be opportunities to meet some of the team. Free refreshment will be available throughout the day.
7.00pm – 9.30pm Summertime Special
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: Come and be entertained by the teams from the amazing Ella Performance Group and Creating Adventures. An evening of dance, singing and much much more. Tickets £6. Book tickets online or Email Leigh
10am- 2.30pm – Carers and Families Wellbeing Day
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: Warrington and Halton Carers Centres present an event to thank carers with health and wellbeing activities including massage, mindfulness, music, arts and crafts, dance, walking, and a picnic. Free admission, registration needed. For early bird bookings Email Kate
6.00pm- 9.30pm – Party in the Park for disabled children, young disabled people, young carers and young adult carers
Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens: A collaboration between Warrington Disability Partnership, Warrington Youth Club, Warrington Wolves Foundation, and WIRED Young Carers present a fun filled evening. Multi Sports (including football, rugby league, parachute games, bowling, mini golf, basketball, the Great WYC Sports Challenge and Olympic/Paralympic sports), Arts, Dance, chat and chill out, crafts (cake decorating, Art Attack, Friendship Bracelets, WYC photoshoot), Karaoke, Music, Silent Disco and fun areas. Arts Marquee, Walton Gardens - Pete Pinnington, in collaboration with Warrington Disability Partnership Presents his famous Bingo Bedlam. Fun, games, laughter great prizes plus mega prize draw and auction. Licenced bar. Tickets £10 each. Book tickets online or Email Ellen
10am - 4.30pm the Big Event – 31st Disability Awareness Day
Walton Hall Gardens: World’s largest voluntary led pan disability exhibition. Free admission
