This year the growing Visual Arts Zone has on stage entertainment in the hugely popular Performing Arts Marquee, plus three new marquees with lots of new features, activities and experiences for everyone to enjoy.

This year the growing Arts Zone has an extended programme of on-stage entertainment in the hugely popular Performing Arts Marquee plus three new marquees with new performers and performance spaces, activities and experiences for everyone to enjoy.

At the Bridge

We are delighted to have the Town Crier returning to open DAD in 2026. New this year we also have Creating Adventures Brass Band at the opening, plus talented singer Neve Boswell and the popular North West Charity Singers entertaining people as they arrive during the day.

Silent Disco

Our popular Silent Disco returns for Disability Awareness Day 2026.

The Silent Disco Marquee is fully accessible with support from our friendly stewards and volunteers to make the experience enjoyable and inclusive for all visitors.Whether you want to dance, sing along, or just enjoy the atmosphere, the Silent Disco has it all!

Get Creative Activities

Hands-on workshop activities in the Arts Zone include Arts and Crafts with WDP’s Monday Club; Arts, Crafts and Facepainting with Warrington Youth Zone; Arts therapy with Ebru (marbling art for everyone) and,1-3pm, a workshop with artist Laura Aquilina and Blue Room Inclusive Arts, creating 3-D “Wish You Were Here” postcards.

Performing Arts Marquee

The place to be for a sparkling all-day programme of dance, theatre, music and song. With our compere Vanessa and BSL interpreters we have almost 200 performers on stage during the course of the day including well known favourites Ella Performance Group, Creating Adventures, Stars Drama, Groovy Movers, Warrington Signing Choir, Wired for Sound, singer songwriter Mat Raidon, Wolfprint and the Wargrave Community Choir. New Acts include Stepping Stones Creative, Appleton Magic Voices, Creative Remedies Choir and Timepiece dance band plus Glen 7, stand-up comedian, at the adjacent performance area (10.30am)

Arts Marquee Finale

From 15:00, Timepiece Band and Wolfprint dance group will be performing the finale in the Arts Marquee. They invite visitors to join for a dance in celebration of another brilliant Disability Awareness Day.
